I have also found that families benefit from dialogue regarding changes in roles within the family system as members get older and more/less dependent. Additionally, some of my clients come to counseling to work through the age old question of "What am I doing with my life?".

She graduated in 2004, with her BS in psychology from University of North Carolina at Pembroke. In 2009, she received her MSW from Fayetteville State University. Shekita Brown is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 17 years of experience in the mental health field. Ms. Brown is a Certified Victim Service Practitioner (VSP) who has worked on both sides of the victim role with clients of all ages--i.e. victims of trauma, sexual assault, and domestic violence; crisis intervention; as well as therapeutic intervention to juvenile offenders. This experience led her to management, supervision, and training of other clinicians in the area of victim advocacy.
