Shekita Brown is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience in the mental health field. Ms. Brown is a Certified Victim Service Practitioner (VSP) who has worked on both sides of the victim role with clients of all ages; as well as therapeutic intervention to juvenile offenders and prison level. This experience led her to management, supervision, and training of other clinicians.
Before transitioning to private practice, Ms. Brown has provided clinical intervention with intensive in-home therapy, school-based therapy, and various forms of outpatient therapy to individuals, couples, groups, and families. She has recently worked with military families of all branches, both within the United States and in countries abroad.
Ms. Brown has used a combination of the CBT approach, solution-focused, reality therapy, and relational evidenced-based approaches; but most importantly, she is clinically focused on meeting the client's needs. She has a passion for helping others obtain their goals and learn the skills that allow for a balanced life.
