I will help guide you to listen to your emotions and experiences in a way that finally makes sense. It is my aim to provide insight so you are able to move from the long-held belief of, “What is wrong with me?” to “What is my pain trying to tell me?” We will work together to decode the confusion of emotions and access the inner strengths you already possess. Sometimes in life there are events that happen that make absolutely no sense. Sometimes those events have a lasting impact on our relationships, parenting, careers, identity and emotional health. As a certified trauma therapist, I believe it is my privilege to work through these emotions with my clients to provide hope and work together toward healing. My name is Rebecca Turay, MSW, LCSW and I provide mental health counseling services for individuals ages 18 years and over: individuals, groups, couples, family, and those with marital or relationship issues for problems with: depression, anxiety, PTSD, panic, phobias/fears, grief and loss issues, death and dying, suicide, miscarriage, abortion, divorce, blended families, parenting, substance abuse, abuse, anger issues, low self-esteem, trauma, and adjustment or life changes. I specialize in working with young children and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, and other challenges. My focus also includes counseling with prenatal/postpartum clients working through the challenges of becoming a new mother, including anxiety and depression. I am passionate about working with mothers who may be experiencing burnout or other challenges that come with the demands of motherhood. This includes helping to empower women to reach their fullest potential.

I work with people who have trouble regulating emotion. I am skilled in several different types of therapy, however, I have a significant amount of advanced training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Gottman Method couples therapy. I tend to work with people who are experiencing depression, suicidal ideation, self harming behavior, trauma and anxiety. I focus on providing Autism assessments, ADHD assessment and treatment, clinical supervision and marathon therapy. I'm based in LSL now and offer telehealth for people located in Montana. My path to counseling began very young through my own personal experience with loss of life, which lead me to the path to helping others. I understand that missing our loved ones and being depressed is normal, and the key to grieving is to find a way to form a new relationship with the one we lost. In addition, through my collegiate student-athlete experience I understand the delicate balance of being a student-athlete, including the pressures that come along with it.

Carolyn operates from a systems way of thinking. I believe that there are many aspects that can affect each individual and exploring these aspects best helps the individual.
