About
Carolyn operates from a systems way of thinking. I believe that there are many aspects that can affect each individual and exploring these aspects best helps the individual. I use therapies such as CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, EFT with couples and other modalities. I work with children ages 10+, adolescents, individuals, couples and families. Carolyn has experience working with anxiety, depression, divorce, marital separation, premarital counseling, marriage counseling, sexual issues including addiction, affairs, pornography, abuse and LGBTQ+, grief and other situations that may arise.
Carolyn Tinker is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor. I received my Bachelor’s degree in English from University of Missouri St. Louis and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University in Chattanooga, TN. I have also attained certificates in Marriage and Family Therapy and Christian Sex Therapy.
I enjoy working with people from where they are and helping them move to where they want to be. I believe that life takes each of us on a journey and that journey will be filled with peaks and valleys. It is during those peaks and valleys that I can step in to help guide each person to move forward and grow with what life has to offer.
