I specialize in offering trauma-informed therapy to LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent adults residing in Missouri. As a queer and trans individual myself, my focus is on co-creating a safe and affirming environment for folks to thrive. I hold space for clients to explore and process their experiences of grief, complex trauma, and challenges stemming from the impacts of living in a traumatic and oppressive society. I particularly enjoy working with queer and neurodiverse individuals who are interested in taking a more deliberate approach to their personal growth and who wish to develop a deeper connection with themselves and their bodies.

While I provide individual and relationship counseling for all people, my special interest is to support marginalized populations. My primary expertise is providing counseling and supportive services for the LGBTQ+ constituency. As human beings, we all struggle with feelings of not being good enough, important enough, lovable or able to love. These feelings embed themselves very early in life producing defense mechanisms, although no longer needed, continue to operate below the surface, wreaking havoc on life, relationships and success. The battle is often a daily one; sometimes minute by minute. Don't suffer alone.

Jackie is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri and a Nationally Certified Counselor. She is certified in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and has training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Jackie works with individuals, couples, and families of all ages. She is passionate about supporting clients as they navigate anxiety and mood disorders, as well as supporting couples and families seeking healing in relationship.

In my practice I understand that clients bring painful experiences and emotions into therapy, and that those experiences create challenges that look different for each person. My goal is to act as a guide and support as clients become empowered through the therapeutic journey. Through my education and life experience, I use various skills that allow me to flexibly work with clients. One of my greatest tools that I bring to therapy is that I have experienced treatment and recovery, personally. I know that recovery is possible and would like to help you. I have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, identity development, relationship and attachment issues, life transitions, and grief. I'm especially dedicated to working with LGBTQIA+ and nonmonogamous clients. I practice from a humanistic standpoint, integrating psychodynamic, behavioral, and mindfulness-based strategies drawn from a variety of approaches in order to personalize therapy to the individual client’s values, goals, and strengths.
