My name is Dr. Katherine Kline and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) as well as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) located in Saint Louis, Missouri. I hold a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Michigan State University, and a PhD in Counselor Education from Michigan State University. I have over 13 years of experience in the counseling profession and I have worked with a wide range of populations to include, teens/ adolescents, and adults that present with a variety of issues and concerns.

My primary goal as a therapist is to help facilitate healing and transformational growth in a caring and compassionate way. I have over 14 years of experience, specializing in addictions of all kinds, trauma, chronic pain/illness, autoimmune disease, infertility and anxiety. I utilize a holistic approach in counseling that includes conventional and non-conventional therapeutic methods such as CBT, biofeedback, mindfulness, EMDR and Audio-Visual Entrainment.

I am informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as a basis for emotional processing and behavior change. I am deeply committed to respecting each person's individual experience and work to identify tools and interventions that fit the needs of each person. I believe in an integrative health model exploring the mind, body and environment. I believe that exploring the use of mindfulness techniques can have powerful positive effects with individuals who are open. My aim is to support individuals into awareness of their personal strengths and to encourage growth and healing from within, despite the external circumstances.

My philosophy of counseling is to let others know they are not alone. Clients will always have someone to talk to about anything troublesome. I believe all people need someone to be there for them, to comfort them and give them tools to self-sooth and learn to succeed to the best of their ability. Through unconditional positive regard, creating a safe space which is nonjudgmental and confidential, and by using active listening and other techniques clients can continue to learn to improve themselves and their environment.
