My name is Michelle Segal and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (license 100143). I have over 5 years of experience working with individuals and families dealing with a variety of mental health and health-related issues. My main focus is to empower each client, focus on each of their strengths and make them feel comfortable and safe in a non-judgmental environment. The main therapeutic modalities I draw from include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Strengths-Based Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
I am comfortable working with adolescents, young adults, pre-teens, and families dealing with a variety of issues. I have worked with clients dealing with anxiety and depression, chronic illness, and life transitions. I am also comfortable working with young mothers dealing with post-partum depression and/or anxiety.
I am a friendly and outgoing person who likes to make sure my clients feel very comfortable being open with me during our sessions. I maintain professionalism while also ensuring that I create a safe, non-judgmental space for therapy.
