About
not accepting new clients currently As a licensed clinical social worker, I believe in drawing on a person's strengths to help them make meaning, gain insight, and enrich connections for a fuller and more meaningful experience. Therapy is drawn from a number of modalities including cognitive behavioral, relational, and interpersonal frameworks. I am skilled in serving a diverse population of clients, ranging from adults with serious and persistent mental illness, Veterans, students, and persons struggling with life transitions such as grief and loss, homelessness, relationships, trauma, and career stressors.
Having worked in the field of mental health since 2000, I attended The University of Texas at Austin for both my BSW & MSSW degrees. As a licensed clinician since 2008, I've worked in the area of complex trauma and mental health in a variety of settings, ranging from inpatient psych, residential, & community mental health.
The idea of therapy can be intimidating, but it doesn't need to be. I embrace a collaborative, person-centered approach, sprinkled with humor and grace. Please feel free to reach out to me to discuss fit and your needs. I am happy to provide a free 15 minute phone consultation to help you get started and learn more about what you may be seeking.
