I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in treating adults and adolescents who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, relationships issues, life transitions and other disorders. My approach to counseling begins with fostering an open and safe relationship in a nurturing environment that promotes healing, growth and insight. I collaborate with each client to identify, set and achieve goals to address challenges and concerns.

As an LCPC I have experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families in therapy focusing on anxiety, depression, traumatic experiences, race-related trauma or stress, family transitional issues, cultural adaptation, and various other needs. As a bilingual Afro-Latina I am able to provide therapy in Spanish and English.

Dr. Walton is dedicated to working with communities, organizations, and individuals to develop applied solutions to challenges affecting vulnerable and marginalized populations. Her professional experience includes working within international humanitarian organizations, the legal arena and doing this work living on every continent except Antarctica. Dr. Walton is passionate about systems and the people who function in them. She is a wife, a mother, a caregiver and a daughter of immigrants.

For the past 15 years, I have worked with individuals facing emotional, mental health challenges as well as psycho social stressors.
