My approach to counseling is cognitive behavioral targeted towards empowerment of the client, changing negative thinking patterns and identifying client strengths to bring positive life altering changes. Other modalities of treatment are utilized as necessary, tailored to client needs. I work with individuals, families, couples, and veterans. My style is nonjudgmental with a high degree of respect, warmth and support.

Quality and in depth comprehensive assessment and evaluation with an extensive treatment plan which includes both short and long term goals, detailed map offering steps needed to accomplish goals. Monthly evaluation and group meetings with support systems. Accountability protocols and referrals when needed. Each client is treated as an individual with a unique background and set of biological, psychological, social and spiritual circumstances. Sessions usually consist of a mixture of office, virtual and in home services.

As you maneuver through growing pains, as a child/adult you may have felt, "nobody knows what I have been through, walked in my shoes," Situations are often so tied into one another that its like a knot in a shoelace, you get on one knee, using one hand trying to get it a loose, the more you mess with it, the more tangled it becomes as you juggle other stuff. At some point we realize, I have to sit down for this, take time. Both hands are needed to pinch that knot just right. Yet, some of us don't have two hands, or time to sit down. We are worn out, our environment and/or life's demands don't allow us to unravel our stuff safely.
