As a therapist with over 20 years experience, I have a relaxed and welcoming approach that helps put clients at ease. I use art therapy to help individuals express themselves when words are sometimes hard to find. I use creative tools such as paint, clay, collage, drawing, etc. to help promote emotional growth. I also offer traditional talk therapy. Clients can choose their preferred approach, whether sitting on the couch talking, doing art or walking on the trails outside our space.

While pursuing my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Social Psychology from Ball State University, I gained experience in a practicum clinic and hospital setting, working with those experiencing difficulties with grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and interpersonal relationships.

I am also committed to providing a warm, empathetic environment with the highest level of respect and confidentiality for my clients. I'm also an AAMFT Approved Supervisor and can provide support for aspiring LMFT-A clinicians.

At Renewal, we love to walk alongside clients of all ages to help them learn what works and what doesn’t and learn new strategies to live a full life with less stress and anxiety. We have 11 therapists working with ages 5 and up. Most of our therapists are in network with Anthem BC/BS and United Healthcare. We also have a counseling intern seeing clients for a reduced rate of $40. We are currently taking new clients of all ages. Mary has worked extensively with children and families over the last 20 years. With a background in Developmental Therapy, training in Trauma and Perinatal support, experience in Play, Sand and Art Therapy, Mary brings a unique, compassionate and personal approach to her work. With a Cognitive Behavioral education, Mary specializes in helping individuals and couples through challenging times, such as relationship difficulties, infertility, life-limiting diagnosis, grief, loss and trauma.

I use evidence-based techniques including EMDR, EFT, CBT, and DBT. I have experience working within the LGBTQ+ community, and I am able to provide counseling in both English and Spanish.
