My name is Melody Wilson, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Illinois and Indiana with over 16 years of clinical experience working with adults with Anger Management, Coping Skills, Grief, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Life Coaching, Parenting, Schizophrenia, Stress, Self Esteem, and Life Transitions. I use various therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and all those which are adequate for my client’s mental health needs. She is the author of What's Good About Anger? books, resources/courses and the founder and President of the Anger Management Institute.

While spiritual health alone does not make every problem go away...spiritual health is critical to bringing emotional, mental and physical health. Most of us have experienced feelings of hurt, disappointment, fear, rejection, loneliness, grief, guilt, and/or shame. These feelings may cause us to project an image that is not necessarily true to who we really are.

I specialize in working with clients with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, sleep issues, stress, Autism, health problems, and Christian life coaching. Teenagers through senior adults experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, complex trauma/dissociation, eating disorders, borderline personality disorder, suicidality, self-harm, substance abuse, and bipolar disorder are clients that would be a good fit for my expertise. I practice from a relational model and often use emotion-focused, person-centered interventions while also incorporating more concrete skills including CBT or DBT.
