I work with individuals, couples, and families who are seeking help for issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship conflicts, parenting, eating disorders, and codependency. I tend to combine treatment approaches (i.e. cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, psychodynamic) to fit the need of the client. I see my role as coming alongside each individual on their walk of life, and feel privileged to be invited into the personal space of my clients.

Nothing is more satisfying than assisting my clients to break free from addiction and restore trust in significant relationships. I use my 25 years of experience to evaluate effectively and offer clear direction and support. Committed to Christian principles, I frequently consult with pastors, church leaders and other professionals. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Christian Sex Addiction Counselor with a Master's degree from the University of Chicago.

(telehealth) The "ideal client" I imagine working with is an individual that is characterized by having difficulty coping with anxiety, self-esteem, ADHD, relationships, and offer Christian based counseling. The needs of the client I imagine would be empathy and compassion towards that individual, space for their voice to heard and their story to be respected. I imagine my ideal client would desire "practical" but, "impactful" coping techniques to alleviate symptoms. I imagine my "ideal" client aspiring to regain "control" back into their lives and to feel "empowered."

After the last few years, most of us need a safe space to feel heard and understood. My therapeutic style is gentle and deeply client-centered, creating an experience of rest for clients who find themselves feeling lost in the chaos of our world. I will use an eclectic blend of talk therapy, Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, DBT and Internal Family Systems to assist you with discovering and achieving your goals for treatment. Because I have my own trauma history, I can connect well with those who find themselves still affected by past events that they wish would stop intruding on their present.
