My specializations include solution-focused therapy and person-centered therapy and emotional-based therapy, as I am a pre-licensed marriage and family therapist (MFT-I). The majority of my experience is with adolescents and adults. I specialize in providing a safe and supportive environment where individuals can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I use various therapeutic techniques and approaches to help my clients gain insight, identify patterns, and develop strategies for making lasting changes.

Being born and raised in Hawaii and going through the public school system made me aware of the challenges we all face at various stages in our lives. Whether it is anxiety from life transitions, low self-esteem that became depression, or behavioral issues that lead to diagnoses, I'd like to help you improve your quality of life and find your true self. We will look at where the current view of yourself and others came from and how this has impacted your ability to emotionally regulate in stressful situations. Life is not a neat package, I am here to help you unpack it , keep track of of it all, get rid of some of it, and keep some safe. At the core of my approach is the establishment of a trustworthy, unbiased space for clients. Life has its difficult moments. I specialize in helping people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, substance use or are going through some sort of life change. Whether it be life changes like moving or a death of a loved one, switching jobs or recurring relationship issues, change can be tough (even if it a positive one). I provide Integrative Psychotherapy and Counseling for individuals and couples utilizing Person-centered Humanistic, Cognitive, Behavioral, and Interpersonal/Psychodynamic conceptualizations and treatment modalities. My experience includes more than two decades helping people of diverse and marginalized populations across O'ahu with: anxiety, depression, other mood disorders, acute and post-traumatic stress, anger management, work/career stress and transitions, grief and loss, chronic pain, gender dysphoria, coping with general medical conditions, and improving relationships, as well as general phase-of-life personal growth and self-actualization concerns related to late adolescence, early adulthood, mid-life, and older adults and aging.

Welcome! I absolutely love my job, and I am so passionate about helping others in whatever way I can. One of those ways that I feel I can help, is by providing therapy for individuals, couples, and families. I have extensive experience working with interracial couples and people from all over the world. I have been providing therapy services for 14 years. I am licensed in CA, WA, and HI.

Our capacity to connect, both with ourselves (i.e. our passions, feelings, and body) and with others, is crucial to our feelings of well-being. When we connect, we generally feel a sense of aliveness in ourselves and the world. When we can't connect, we feel anxious, isolated, empty, or depressed. I feel my job is to help clients to more fully connect to the range of their experiences. I help adults and adolescents explore why they lose connection. I help them identify, understand, and overcome the deep root of their disconnection. I help them find well-being, which gives me great joy.

Sometimes, you may experience some life obstacles that lower your quality of living. It helps to talk about your difficulties in psychotherapy so that you may learn the strategies and coping mechanisms to better deal with your difficulties, raise your quality of life, and enjoy your relationships with others. In my practice, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment where we can discuss these issues and find solutions together. I provide services to individuals (from the toddler to elderly age groups), families, and couples.
