I specialize in working with individuals ages 15 and older experiencing grief and loss, chronic illness and medical issues including cancer, trauma and stress related issues, significant life changes, anxiety, depression, performance anxiety, relationship conflicts, and spiritual and identity concerns. I began working as a therapist in a Community Health Center seeing individuals, couples and families with minor to severe mental health issues, many suffering from past trauma. This led me to seek more education, supervision and training to help treat those reporting trauma and dissociative symptoms. Now, I mainly work with individuals dealing with complex trauma and dissociative disorders, though I still see some couples/families where one member is dealing with trauma-related dissociative symptoms. I work collaboratively, partnering with people to help resolve lingering past and current issues to achieve their stated goals.

I believe in creating a safe space for people to process life's difficulties. I enjoy helping clients learn how to use their inner strengths to obtain contentment with a variety of life's issues. I specialize in neuro-diverse diagnoses, ASD, ADHD and Anxiety. I have worked along side families and individuals to help manage the day to day struggle unique to these diagnoses. I have supported clients at home, worked with educators and developed strategies for community involvement. I have a passion for helping children, adolescents, parents and adults manage the problems and stressors that come with having a neuro-diverse diagnoses.

All of use are faced with experiences in life that that we could use some help with. Using warmth, gentleness, and humor, my goal as a therapist is to create a safe and healing relationship with you. I have a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, and enjoy working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, relational issues, trauma, and I am trained in EMDR. I take special interest in working with college students/young adults struggling with Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge-Eating Disorder, and OSFED. Maddie is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and a pre-licensed psychotherapist under supervision for LPCC licensure. She has immediate openings for therapy. She has a background as a writer that informs her approach to therapy. She believes in the importance of empowering people to develop and grow into their own story and tap into their own motivations for change. She also believes that building community support and connection is an integral part of the healing process. She has experience working with adult men, adult women, adolescents, and LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC clients with various mental health issues.

Therapy is a unique experience in which trust and collaboration are built and developed over time between the therapist, client, and family members. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I strive to look at the family as a system and how an individual client within the system is able to develop appropriate boundaries and healthy communication patterns. I utilize CBT, DBT and Play Therapy techniques. I am DBT trained and I am working towards certification in this area. I am also trained in Play Therapy and close to becoming a Registered Play Therapist. I work with children age 3-years to adults.
