With 10 years of experience working with diverse individuals who encounter a variety of issues including grief, mood disorders, trauma, life transition, and LGBTQ+.
Are you experiencing grief, a recent life transition, or life crisis? Are you having unresolved conflicts? Through therapy you can process through your emotions, gain greater self-awareness, recognize your resilience, and find inner freedom from your attachment(s). Until our emotions settle, our perception of ourselves, others and life can seem to be distorted or color-blinded. I believe that the core of healing is reconciliation between the different relationship conflicts within ourselves and others. I am here to provide a safe environment to process your struggles, and to help you find your own coping skills to manage your life.

I specialize in depression, transition stress, grief, trauma, and anxiety.
When we experience severe life stressors or trauma, it is normal for us to feel stuck, sad, angry, withdrawn, lonely, and low in self-esteem. As a result, we may not live fully to our highest potential. My passions are helping my clients, adults, and children heal from traumas, strengthen their abilities to respond appropriately to current and future life demands and stressors, and build healthy perceptions of themselves and their world.

Hey there. Are you here because life's just been really tough on you? Maybe you're feeling frustrated because you're trying so hard to keep it together and it still feels like it's falling apart. You want to make changes and make yourself feel better, but it doesn't seem to be enough and you're not sure anymore and are in vicious loop of anxiousness, sadness, self-blame, guilt, and grief.

Wherever we are in our journey, there seems to be the many problems and struggles we faced, and often, they seem unbearable and with no clear solutions. These are the knots of our life, be it from violence, disasters, discord in our family, knots of drugs and alcoholism, loneliness, sickness, grief, or just feeling stuck, etc. - these are knots that suffocate us and prevent us from living our life to the fullest, our best self. But I want to tell you that there is hope and that hope is always alive.

Hi, my name is Quynh Pham, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I was born in Vietnam and came to America when I was 12 years old. I was inspired to step out of my comfort zone and adapt not only to a new language but also to the cultural shift. This challenging experience taught me to respect and connect well with people from all backgrounds. I value the quality time I spend with friends and family who I love. I enjoy traveling, cooking, and exploring the culinary world because I believe a hearty dish brings everyone together.

I love helping teenagers and young adults with Autism/Asperger's navigate the social world around them by teaching skills to make and keep friends. I am also good at helping them deal with anxiety, depression and controlling their behaviors. I understand traditional talk therapy is not very effective for those on the spectrum so I modify the treatment by using different methods to increase understanding and learning. I believe in working with family members that care for the individual on the spectrum so I welcome you to join us in learning how to be the best form of support.

Life can get complicated and there is no handbook on how to handle things like depression, anxiety, addiction and relationship problems. It is important to know two things: 1. you are not alone, 2. challenges are always opportunities to grow and change your life. You are probably here because it's time to "do something different." Let us help guide you through this journey!

I am going to let you in on something. I, too, come from a place of conflictual relationships, anxiety and lack of self-love. Therapy helped me channel the innate strength residing in each and every one of us, and changed my whole life trajectory. For the past 8 years, I have partnered with clients on their journey towards healing and self-acceptance, helping them restore the balance in their relationships with themselves, and with others.

Oftentimes, we are told to just be our genuine self, but that is so hard to do when societal standards, cultural norms, familial expectations set limits and boxes for us to fit into as well. These restrictions and boundaries only then muffle and silence the voices we have inside of us. This silencing and censoring can develop internal messages within us that we are unloveable, never enough, and not worthy of being authentically you. Feelings of anxiousness, nervousness, sadness, and loneliness may arise alongside these thoughts which make it difficult to get a good night's rest or enjoy your favorite hobbies.

Your overall wellness extends beyond your physical health and, by taking this first step to find a therapist, you are showing yourself love and compassion. Thank you for making your emotional and mental well-being a priority. Change takes time, is difficult, and can be scary but is ultimately, liberating and transformative. When we make changes in our lives, we open ourselves up to growth and new possibilities. Ghandi believed “the future depends on what you do today.” I believe each of us can overcome the obstacles that impact our relationships, happiness, quality of life, and keep us from being our most authentic selves.

Grief Therapists

How long does therapy take for grief?

There is no exact timeline for grief counseling. Some people may start to feel better after just a few sessions, while others may take months or longer to feel relief. Some specific approaches, including some types of CBT, may involve a set number of sessions, or therapy may be open-ended until the patient determines they are ready to wrap up. Just as there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there is no right or wrong way to seek therapy for grief.

When should you seek therapy for grief?

Many people mistakenly believe that their grief needs to be debilitating or all-encompassing to warrant therapy. This is not the case. While people who experience severe, prolonged grief—particularly those who are considering self-harm or engaging in unhealthy substance use—are especially likely to benefit from therapy, so too are people whose grief is less intense but still interfering with well-being or daily functioning. In practice, almost anyone struggling to process a loss could benefit from grief counseling.

Can grief be managed without therapy?

Oftentimes, yes. Grief is a near-universal part of being human, and many find that their grief, while profound, does not stop them from participating in day-to-day life and steadily eases over time without outside help. For others, however, the harsh pain of early grief persists for months or years or leaves them unable to function. This group is especially likely to benefit from seeing a therapist, who can guide them through their grief and help them reconnect with the world.

What happens if grief is left untreated?

Because grief does not in itself necessitate therapy, untreated grief will often resolve on its own. However, for some people—particularly those who would qualify for a diagnosis of prolonged grief disorder—untreated grief can be a source of seemingly endless pain or lead them to withdraw from the world. In such cases, treatment can be indispensable, as it can help an individual adapt to the loss and start living again.
