I strive to establish rapport with my clients and a space to feel safe and validated to foster a deeper level of empowerment, personal growth and self-acceptance.

I believe each of us has the ability to heal from emotional wounds and the resulting damage to our sense of self worth. In order to heal, the source of the “original wound/s” must be identified and how these wounds are currently affecting our feelings, choices, and behaviors today. Personal boundaries are often affected and people pleasing/codependent relationships are also common. A willingness to put up with unacceptable and abusive behaviors as well. The first step in healing is in recognizing there is a problem. The next is the willingness to do the hard work. The best work one could ever do.

Each of my clients is my priority. When you become a patient with me, you gain my full attention, care, and drive to address and treat your concern(s). While I have decades of experience to bring to the table, I also know that each of my clients is a unique person in a unique situation, and what works for one patient may not be the correct course of action for another. Lynn M. Lauria MA, LMHC is a practicing clinician who works with adults (17 and up), couples and families. Lynn provides a compassionate and non-judgmental atmosphere in which you can safely explore and work through thoughts, feelings and beliefs, unconscious or conscious, that may have you feeling stuck. Lynn offers an eclectic orientation as well as a holistic, integrative approach to person- centered therapy. In addition, she offers traditional cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems,mindfulness/meditationand solution focused therapy. Lynn has extensive knowledge and experience in trauma focused counseling.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 25 years of experience. My focus is on adolescents and adults. I have had the pleasure of working with clients from a variety of backgrounds. I strive to help clients identify and achieve their personal goals. I enjoy working with clients who are moving from adolescence to young adulthood, adults who are looking to enhance their life experience and those who are working through change. I always begin with a thorough assessment that includes assessment the seven domains that may be affected by Complex Trauma. In addition I work extensively with families of teenagers on relationships, family conflicts, depression, drug and alcohol abuse, and school issues.
