I’ve been in private practice for many years and a faculty member at FAU teaching clinical/psychotherapy for 20 years. My approach integrates the blending of western cutting edge evidence-based therapies along with contemplative eastern mindfulness based modalities. I also utilize alpha wave technology in the treatment of insomnia, depression, and anxiety. I work with people from all diverse backgrounds, sexual and gender identities. Individuals I work with often seek treatment for symptoms that, despite their best efforts, do not go away such as feeling emotionally numb or angry & have intrusive thoughts/memories from a traumatic event or have been diagnosed with PTSD. The couples I work with often report feeling stuck, feeling alone and sick of having the same arguments yet nothing changes. I also treat survivors of narcissistic parents and narcissistic partners.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist student intern, I am excited to begin my career and invite new clients to join me on their journey to healing. I specialize in working with couples, families, and individuals who are struggling with relationship issues, communication problems, and life transitions. My ideal clients are those who are open to exploring their feelings and experiences in a safe and supportive environment. I believe that with the right guidance and support, individuals, couples, and families can find the strength to overcome their challenges and lead more fulfilling lives together.

Common complain by families and couples is poor communication from the most important people in their lives. They feel unheard, rejected, disconnected and alone by the people they love. Divorce, anxiety, depression, hopelessness, feeling of being unloved could be the results. As a Marriage and Family therapist, my passion is to guide families, couples and individuals to have the feeling of safety and security by rediscovering the “emotional connection” which was lost from poor and negative communication with their loved ones. I believe by creating a safe and secure bond, relationships will withstood the "tests of time and life."

I believe that we can only be seen and healed within the context of relationships. My passion is to serve my clients by providing them with the tools and resources needed to live an abundant life and maintain healthy relationships. Marriage, parenting, blended families, adoption, relationship issues, self-esteem, anxiety, and stress can become challenging. My job as your therapist is to guide and support you on your healing journey towards living an abundant life.

I have worked with individual's whose lives have been complicated by anxiety and/or depression. Clients' lives may be constricted by self-defeating behaviors, or they may feel stuck in unsatisfying relationship patterns. This sense of not feeling satisfied often contributes to unhappiness and an eroded sense of self. Early life experiences may shed light on these issues which often helps to explain why someone feels stuck. In order to effect change, therapeutic work can help a client counteract the feelings of powerlessness that often inhibit personal growth.

When you feel stuck, out of sorts, things just aren't going well, some coaching or therapy might help you. You may feel anxious, sad, angry, annoyed-- perhaps at the bottom of your "stuckness". I invite you to work with me on these issues, knowing that either long-standing or recent problems are fixable--solutions are just around the corner. A special tool I share is EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique. This quickly and easily releases specific negative feelings. Anxiety, fears, phobias, guilt, grief, limiting beliefs are just some of the upsets you can release. It even helps soothe panic attacks quickly. Let's have a chat!

As a Marriage and Family therapist, my passion lies in helping individuals and families navigate their emotional challenges and empowering them to lead fulfilling lives. I am dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment where clients can openly express their thoughts and feelings, and together we can work towards achieving their mental health goals. Areas treated include: ADHD, anxiety, depression, complex/developmental trauma, family dynamics, relationship issues, sexual abuse, substance use, and grief/loss.

I provide general psychotherapy for individuals and couples. In addition, I specialize in three areas of concern - Advanced Addiction Recovery, Sex and Love Addiction, and Relationship Issues. Advanced Recovery is for individuals who have completed inpatient or outpatient treatment for substance abuse or for those in sustained recovery who are facing current issues beyond what can be addressed in their support community. Individual therapy addresses ongoing recovery issues, relapse prevention, relationships, self-esteem and resilience, refining coping strategies, and childhood and family of origin issues. Advanced Recovery Services also include partner and family counseling.
