Individuals I work with often seek treatment for symptoms that, despite their best efforts, do not go away such as feeling emotionally numb or angry & have intrusive thoughts/memories from a traumatic event or have been diagnosed with PTSD. The couples I work with often report feeling stuck, feeling alone and sick of having the same arguments yet nothing changes. I also treat survivors of narcissistic parents and narcissistic partners.
Treatment is tailored to the client using the most effective modalities for the presenting concerns (ie: gold standard). Treatment modalities include: Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which are complimentary to each other. Psychodynamic, Solution Focused & CBT are also utilized when appropriate.
Therapy is a journey that increases awareness & creates space for change.
