Hi, I'm Claire Oswald and I am a licensed mental health counselor with the state of Florida. I have received my masters in mental health counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University and have been in practice for the last 7 years. I have background working with both inpatient and outpatient services to be able to fully understand the mental health services that are offered in SWFL. I have worked with many children but specialize in ages 13+. If you are a person who is currently experiencing stress, anxiety, fear, depression, or are just over all needing some therapy in your life then I am happy to be able to help.
As we grow, learn, and navigate through new experiences, it can be painful. The uncertainty and discomfort of change can feel overwhelming. As we adjust to change, we all worry, but worry and anxiety can become restrictive, time consuming, and exhausting. We will walk together through the process as you bravely invest in creating a more fulfilled and balanced life. My non-judgmental, collaborative, and strength-based approach utilizes evidence based practices.
In my experience adults, couples, and teenagers alike are surprised at how empowering it can be to begin counseling. I am available to assist you or your adolescent in areas of self- esteem, effective communication, or adjusting to change or loss in your life. From our first session I will support you in identifying your strengths, areas of need, and setting goals toward positive change. My commitment is to provide a safe place and tools for you or your child to work through issues that may be causing worry, sadness, risky behavior, or behavioral issues.
Hi, I'm Kate and I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) in Florida and have been working in the counseling field since 2010. In using a Person-Centered approach, I am able to meet each client "where they are at" and what they would like to focus on. I pride myself in being warm and empathetic, and at the same time working to empower clients to become the best version of themselves. Previously I have worked in private practice, outpatient clinics and at several non-profit organizations. I enjoy working with couples, individuals and families.
In a busy and often disconnected world, it's easy to feel lost, lonely, and overwhelmed. Even when surrounded by people, you can find yourself wondering if anyone really understands you. You may even feel it's difficult to understand yourself. I know it can be scary, exhausting, and confusing to face whatever your troubles are, but there's hope and there's help for you. I give individuals and couples a safe place to feel heard and understood as we face your difficulties as a team. You'll have a caring and experienced professional walking alongside you as you explore and overcome the issues that hold you back and hurt you.
Phone and Teleconferencing are now being used during the pandemic. This is a good time to work on issues that you and your partner may have been too busy to focus on before. Are you anxious or depressed? Do you want to create a better life for yourself but you are unsure how to make the changes you want? Are you in a relationship where the fighting is becoming greater than the satisfaction of being with your partner? Have you or your partner had an affair? Is your sex life a disappointment? Are you and your partner experiencing the intimacy you yearn for inside and outside the bedroom? Are you struggling with sexual pain?
Our Transitional Outpatient Services provide relevant counseling to individuals and families; and one-on-one personal mentoring to aid clients transitioning from treatment into recovery. We also provide ongoing remote recovery coaching that provides clients enhanced support developing accountability in their transition period into an early recovery lifestyle. Ongoing support that comes from counseling, outpatient services and 12-step programs, sometimes isn't enough to make a thorough transition. It is hard to create relevance in treatment.
At times we have all felt overwhelmed, exhausted, & maybe depressed. It doesn't matter whether it's from work stress, family issues, or other life events. I am Dr. Bill Kuzbyt and I have over 25 years of experience providing counseling & consultative services to children, couples, & adults. I have extensive experience with ADHD, conduct disorder, marital issues & family stress.
I am current offering individual, online psychotherapy to Florida and Wisconsin residents aged 18 and up. Whether you are just beginning your search for a therapist for the first time, or perhaps looking for a better fit, I would be honored to join you at this stage of your journey.

At any time, you can rethink your life and reinvent yourself. In a fast paced modern world, we are finding that more and more people are experiencing challenges such as depression and anxiety. Many of them choose to self medicate through habits that can develop an addiction. Many more choose to relay on prescribed medications only. However, studies have shown that the greatest chances for success are achieved by combining medication and therapy.
Jason's work in therapy focuses on systemic thinking which incorporates everyone in the family system to have a respected voice in therapy. Jason believes it is important to gain all perspectives in the family system as this will help the family or couples overcome any troubling issues, and not just one individual. Jason creates an open and honest therapeutic environment that allows clients to gain experience which can breed confidence in their daily lives. Jason's work in therapy is based on learning, understanding, and incorporating tools that promote healthy relationships.
From my experience, I continue to observe that mental health is the foundation of health. It has been a privilege to work with and learn from clients since 2005 in various settings. My strength-based approach allows individuals, couples and families to experience a safe environment in which to increase knowledge and awareness regarding emotions. Psychoeducation is a key at Aim Counseling. Knowledge is power and a means in which to learn how to be more in control of the abstract experience of emotions.
When you realize you're struggling or you are at a difficult point in your life, the awareness can cultivate growth. Reaching out for assistance is not a sign of weakness, but rather a sign of your strength and motivation for change. It shows your readiness to address what is needed to move through the challenge. Stress, anxiety, past traumas, life transitions, relationship or challenges, can knock anyone off balance.
