I have over 20 years of experience working with kids from ages 2.5 years old to 19 years old as well as their parents. I take a relaxed fun and direct approach utilizing games and therapy homework to help clients break out of their counter-productive habits. I focus on empowering the client to identify the changes they would like to make and using tools that work for their personality. Tools include, but are not limited to non-violent communication, cognitive behavioral therapy, self-reflection, and play therapy techniques.
My specialty is in understanding the clients struggles strengths and weaknesses, motivating them to work on their weaknesses, and finding fun engaging ways to improve on their social and emotional skills.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, parents, and family dynamics. While the goals for each client change, I always help clients improve communication skills so that they can more effectively get their needs met within their family unit while also enjoying the growth process.
