I’m a eclectic therapist who believes in treating the whole person. My motto is “ One size does not fit all”. Making the choice to attend therapy is often difficult no matter the reason. However, it’s also the first step in putting YOU first. No matter the reason that lead you here or where you are in your journey. I will work with you to identify your goals and create a safe and supportive environment to help you meet those goals.

Using exposure response prevention, mindfulness strategies, brainspotting, & an eclectic approach, we collaborate in discovering and empowering you to live a life where you may thrive.
Are you tired of worrying about the what ifs? What if you don't do or eat the "right" thing? What if the thing you fear most comes true? You've done everything the "right way" yet the what ifs and rules continue to change and the goals continue to move. You're left feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, irritable, lonely, or paralyzed with dread.

I'm deeply empathetic with an ability to be with clients through their most difficult emotions. I believe processing feelings can facilitate rapid growth. However, my approach is eclectic because change can be initiated in different ways. For example, emotional processing can shift feelings as well as thoughts and behaviors. Alternatively, reevaluating dysfunctional thoughts can improve our outlook and actions. Exploring different behaviors can permanently change one's attitude or release repressed feelings. So, I'm a client centered, empathetic therapist, comfortable working on deep feelings as well as assisting clients in finding concrete solutions and effective new behaviors.

I use an eclectic approach (psychodynamic, narrative, cognitive-behavioral), psycho-education (bibliotherapy) and mindfulness to help clients deal with difficult transitions and relational dynamics.
Are you preoccupied with how you look or the number on the scale? Do you eat to soothe feelings of anger, loneliness, or sadness? Do these issues affect your personal relationships and life goals? Twenty years experience as a nutritional consultant combined with my training as a psychotherapist enables me to help clients with these issues. I am also a certified mindfulness therapist and can help you bring mindfulness practices into your daily life to help with anxiety, depression, or difficulty with any life transitions. Also, I work with parents and grandparents on how to deal with ways to stay present in today's fast paced world

I utilize tools from an eclectic framework rooted in insight-oriented therapies, family systems, disability justice, harm reduction, somatics, EMDR, and creative modalities.
I believe therapy is a container for self-expression where you can show up exactly as you are. As a person with lived experience of being queer, Arab, Non-binary, and Muslim, I have seen first hand how difficult it is to find someone whose values align around the importance of community and is committed to a trauma-informed framework. Growing up in a world that constantly feeds us narratives such as “healing happens alone” and “we are solely responsible for the state of our own wellbeing” can be deeply challenging and frustrating. Together, we will dismantle the notion of isolation as a symbol of strength.

I use an eclectic mix of therapy styles that most clients find helpful.
"The purpose of therapy is to remove blocks to truth; to help you abandon any patterns of belief that no longer serve you in a productive way; to implement self-forgiveness. Therapy can alleviate suffering and open the door to peace of mind. It can assist in separating illusion from reality and even reality from truth. Finally, it can help you to learn to make your decisions from internal prompts because you have created an internal locus of control." From "A Course in Miracles" Most clients start noticing change in their perspectives, outlook and coping skills early in the process.

While my approach in therapy tends to be eclectic, based on your specific needs, I root my approach on a combination of person-centered and cognitive behavior therapy.
Hello, my name is Brian Fernandez. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). My approach in therapy is focused on providing you with coping skills to help you manage stressors, while at the same time helping you identify changes you may want to make that enable you to lead a more genuine and fulfilling life. My areas of practice focus on depression, anxiety, grief, and interpersonal relationships. By far the majority of clients I've worked with have been young adults struggling with anxiety and/or depression. I've also been privileged to have helped many people dealing with grief, as well as interpersonal relationships.

In working with me, you will find that my approach is eclectic in therapeutic style and heavily focused on helping you move towards your authentic self.
Firstly, I am proud of you and am honored to be considered as a person of support in your sacred journey. As a byproduct of your upbringing and community, some of your toughest battles have probably felt the most familiar. You've mastered the role as the "go-to" for everyone around you and pride yourself on this. You're fighting so many silent battles & survival mode has been a life long approach. Now you're tired and want to access peace and new ways of existing. You deserve the breath of fresh air and I am here to support as we explore ways of growth through boundary setting, healing inner child wounds & putting yourself first.

Although I find it most useful to use somewhat of an eclectic approach, giving the space and freedom to mold therapy around the client, I am most inclined to use the Self Psychology approach.
I believe the most important relationship we will ever have is the relationship we have with ourselves. We live in our bodies and our minds 24/7 and are so often at odds with what is inside of us. We dislike, belittle, cajole, judge, and hold ourselves up to rigid standards...and all within our own private universe. How we relate to ourselves will determine how we relate to our partners, others, as well as to environmental issues, and, ultimately, will determine how happy we are.

I specialize treating anxiety, relational issues and life transition challenges using an eclectic therapeutic approach. I incorporate aspects of psychodynamic therapy to encourage understanding of how past experiences create current patterns. Together we will reduce the symptoms of anxiety by cultivating skills and coping tools, using a Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy approach. Through therapy, my hope is that you will feel empowered to make the changes necessary to live a life that is in-line with your hopes and dreams. I treat individuals, teens and families and couples in my practice.

This can include an eclectic variety of therapies to suit your specific needs.
Effective OCD treatment means challenging yourself to do those things you fear—not just speak about them. With therapy, change is easy to see, but it takes your hard work and dedication to do the opposite of what has been protecting you from stress, anxiety, and fear. Living in an OCD cycle is distressing and time consuming, but often times comfortable; its repetitive and ritualistic nature provides a false sense of safety and control. Effective OCD treatment requires a willingness to abandoned your tried and true (though unhealthy) methods try something new. Together, we can enact the change you’d like to see in your life.

Eclectic Therapists
Many practitioners take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing upon various aspects of cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic methods to create their own custom-made approach. Such therapists often work with their clients to create a treatment plan that encompasses different techniques to best address the client's particular problems and to appeal to their sensibility.
