Hello! Welcome to the first step of therapy - reaching out for support. I am an experienced clinician with 20 years of service in the field. Throughout my career I have counseled children, adolescents, and adults from various backgrounds and cultures. I specialize in several areas including anxiety, depression, grief, stress, self-esteem, and relationship issues, amongst others. I use an eclectic blend of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused treatment.

Welcome, I'm Leigha. I am a seasoned therapist with over 15 years of experience in the social work and mental health field. In addition to my private practice, I have held roles such as school counselor, case manager, in-home therapist, residential treatment clinician, intensive outpatient program director, field instructor for Master’s level students and clinical supervisor. I have a particular interest in working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, perfectionism, body image/disordered eating behaviors, relationship issues, addiction, trauma, grief, clients during pregnancy and parenthood and the LGBTQ+ population.

Deciding to go to therapy can be an overwhelming experience, but I hope to support and encourage clients on their counseling journey toward self-exploration and growth. As a therapist, I act as a guide for clients to help manage the ups and downs of life by providing healthy ways to cope with these experiences. From a strengths-based, person-centered perspective, I encourage clients to show up to therapy exactly as they are. Empathetically, I strive to build therapeutic rapport and create a trusting, safe environment for clients to share and express themselves authentically without fear of judgment.

My areas of particular focus are sexual trauma, emotional abuse, suicidal ideation, self-harm, attachment issues, depression, PTSD, and those dark night-of-the-soul times.
