I view therapy as a process of exploring what is working, what is not working and what changes can occur to create the life you envision for yourself. Therapy often involves examining the origins and power of automatic thoughts and belief systems and how these thoughts and beliefs impact your present life. My role as a therapist is to collaboratively facilitate a process so that you can develop greater insight to best utilize your strengths and build resiliency. Clients become actively involved in their therapeutic work and together we develop solutions to achieve stated goals.
I specialize in treating anxiety and depression using an integrated approach to treatment. My approach involves Adlerian, CBT, narrative and brief solution focused therapy with a primary focus on the thoughts and emotions that perpetuate various challenges client's face.
I adapt the course and schedule of therapy to best meet the individual needs of each client. Sessions are typically held weekly or every other week depending on an agreed upon plan.
