I believe everyone has an innate healing capacity & through compassion, we can navigate to the other side of shame. I have worked extensively with issues of childhood & adult traumas & how these painful experiences have affected how we relate to ourselves & others. I specialize in working with PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, & psychedelic integration. I prefer to work with people who are open, willing, and ready to do deep (weekly) work and interested in somatic therapy. I also enjoy working with those who are interested in using therapy to explore topics like having a life of meaning and spirituality. I work with ages 30+.

I'm a specialized therapist who works primarily with neurodivergence, specifically ADHD, OCD, autism & borderline spectrums, and chronic depression, anxiety, & bipolar disorders. I also have expertise in complex trauma issues, often stemming from narcissistic family systems or relationship abuse. Many of my clients possess an excellent or above-average capacity for self-reflection and introspection. However, they feel their heightened self-awareness can sometimes backfire, magnifying feelings of powerlessness and frustration when they find themselves stuck in repetitive patterns and unable to make desired changes in their behaviors.

Maybe anxiety, depression or trauma have recently been a barrier in your life and you want to be able to feel like "yourself" or feel more fulfilled. Or maybe these are issues that are a familiar part of your life for a quite a while and you're ready for the next step in your healing.

I specialize in trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, workplace stress, life transitions, relationship issues, LGBTQ+, and coping skills in today's ever-changing environment.
Hello, my name is Beth and I celebrate your courage and wisdom in searching for this site! I celebrate the individual's strengths in a nonjudgmental collaboration. The mind-body-heart connection, awareness, and trust are the foundation of therapy. The goal is always for your voice to be heard and from that voice to move forward towards your heart's calling. It isn't just "mental health" it's about health- body, mind, and heart. When those three are working together- that is your voice. Well done for hearing your voice and courageously searching this site.

We often seek therapy when we're ready for change and part of our life has become unbalanced. A feeling of discontent, depression, or anxiety may have lasted a lifetime, or may have been initiated by a transitional change, such as loss of a relationship or career, or a yearning to grow beyond where we have been stuck.

Come check out my Unbreakable Inc. website, there's a ton of resources and other great stuff there! I enjoy working with people who have the insight to know they need help, the strength to seek it, the courage to look inward, and the discipline to put in place the causes for their lives to change. At the same time, therapy isn't just about the alleviation of suffering, it's also about the full realization of human potential, which is far greater than most people can imagine.

I find therapy most potent, important, and meaningful when there is a mix of: compassion/spaciousness (non-judgment); curiosity/levity (as appropriate); & choicefulness. From my background in Somatic Counseling/Body Psychotherapy, I make use of my own body, and body-based (a.k.a. somatic) tracking, applied moment-to-moment in the room with clients. Sometimes this is as simple as noticing the breath, or bringing attention (and other options) to bear when something shifts. There are also many extensive toolboxes of potential somatic interventions that expand the range, and the richness, of what a session together may include.

I believe our natural state is health toward which we constantly strive. Sometimes, we encounter situations that interrupt this process. These interferences can occur at any point during our lives and they sometimes leave us searching for ways to cope. There are many ways to heal, and I engage psychotherapy from a contemplative lens. I specialize in healing through a depth approach and I work with people to uncover the wisdom of their true essence. I use tools such as talk therapy, Cognitive and Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and CommitmentTherapy, and Writing.

Life's challenges can feel dark, heavy, or even impossible to deal with. Most people who start therapy feel stuck repeating the same painful patterns. Do any of the following resonate with you? You fight all the time with your partner. Your energy levels are at an all time low. You feel dread, fear, strange thoughts, and a pounding heart. You wake up every morning feeling overwhelmed and depressed. It is possible to feel better. Imagine a life where you could...Control how you respond to anxious thoughts. Get to the root of problems and solve them instead of using band-aids. Have the loving relationships you've always wanted.

Does this resonate with you? You're constantly battling feelings of inadequacy and dissatisfaction with your appearance. Insecurity and frustration have become your daily companions. Lately, anxiety has been so overwhelming that you feel like crawling out of your skin. Instead, you find yourself numbing out—scrolling endlessly or overeating—stuck in a cycle of overwhelm. You know one thing for certain: you're ready for relief. You're eager to break free from the relentless barrage of critical thoughts. You're prepared to start feeling good enough, to find peace, and to embrace confidence and capability again. I'd be happy to help.

Anxiety Therapists

What are the most common treatments for anxiety?

Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?

The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

When should I seek treatment for anxiety?

Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?

Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
