Virtual Only: Hi! I look forward to meeting you. During these unprecedented times, it can be much easier to feel isolated, depressed, or anxious. Talking with someone about these feelings takes strength and vulnerability. I hope to provide a safe place for you to explore feelings associated with stress, addiction, anxiety, depression, anger, hopelessness, recovery, relationships, PTSD, new or past trauma, and much more. Many people feel isolated and alone right now, seeking connection and attempting to make sense of the world we live in today. If this is something you are struggling with, please know you are not alone.

The purpose of this glorious life is not simply to endure it, but to soar, stumble and thrive as you learn to fall in love with your human experience. We were born to live, not to merely exist.

How we experience mental health concerns is reliant on several variables. One of the ones that is our overall health. Have we been diagnosed with a chronic or terminal illness? It is not just how we “feel” about our illness; it is also how our body is reacting to our illness or healing. Another variable is family history and dynamics. What has been our family history with both mental and physical health? What is my role with my family? These are only a few examples of topics to consider. Lastly, another variable is my perception of self. It is not a question of how I see my behavior, but it is a matter of what is my “why” in life.

There has to be more to Mental Care than crisis management, disorders, illnesses, or diagnosis labeling. We are proactive in the maintenance of our bodies, yet, we neglect the "main computer" the mind, the psyche, the CORE of us. We, at CORE, believe in working hard - Mental Health Boot Camp - if you get the drift. Compassion is abundant at CORE but not in the form of soft talk. You are doing hard work and we take it serious. As a team we will discover those aspects of "self" that make us all so amazing. We will walk together sharing life's stories and how they do or do not define who you are at our CORE.

I strongly believe that YOU are the expert on yourself. That being said, at times it is helpful to have a trained professional to support you in exploring places you may feel stuck in life, unhelpful patterns, and strategies for growing and moving forward.

I offer a range of specialty services that generally fall outside the typical categories and tend to use a “whole person” approach to treatment and stabilization, though over the last 10+ years of intensive couple’s and individual work I’ve treated almost everything and welcome all issues large or small, no matter the complexity. I offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy as well as Spiritual Emergence Coaching and meditation training for issues where mental health and spirituality meet. Lastly, I offer specialty testing to precisely identify problems and diagnoses, then use these to best determine what treatment will be most helpful.

The human experience is rich, messy and complex. With the right support, you can navigate periods of change, transitions, shakiness, and uncertainty with less fear and more ease. You can learn to use your body, senses, impulses, and intuition as invaluable tools. As a somatically oriented, Buddhist psychology-based therapist, my hope is to provide a safe, supportive context so that your innate wisdom, clarity, and self-compassion can emerge and blossom. I strongly believe in the healing power of humor, both in and out of the therapy room. You have more freedom than you think!
