Life is full of difficulties, disappointments, and pain, as well as growth, joy, healing, and adventure, and sometimes we need help bridging those two things in our life. In sessions with clients, I am committed to creating a safe and supportive space to collaborate on healing and self discovery together. Within sessions, I meet clients with curiosity and without judgment as I invite them to be vulnerable, experiment, and take risks. Having experienced therapy personally, I know of the importance of gaining a strong, safe, and empowering relationship between therapist and client, and this is one of my biggest priorities in my work.

Fifteen years ago, in my late 20s, I faced an existential crisis. The pain and shame of knowing I was meant for more—more happiness, meaning, and purpose—without knowing how to get there was overwhelming. At times, terrifying. With the help of others, I discovered my unique path to an authentic, self-led life. My mission as a therapist is to return that gift. I believe we all have an innate ability to heal from past wounds, rewrite our inner story, and reunite with a sense of self that feels whole, connected, and fulfilled.

Would you like to work on your issues with mindfulness, compassion and curiosity? Those are the qualities we use together to work with depression, grief, anxiety and relationship issues. Becoming aware of and learning to work with one's inner critic is very helpful too. In general, counseling and psychotherapy are powerful tools that can help us to feel better. I offer a safe, supportive and calm place to explore your self and your life. We can use traditional therapy techniques as well as mindfulness or meditative approaches to start to feel better as well as to grow and change.

Grief is not about "getting over it." It's not a medical condition that needs to be cured, nor does it fit into a box. It is about loss...a break up, death of a loved one, end of a friendship, job loss or the end of a career, divorce, or the loss of a dream. Some days it may feel like you are drowning in a tidal wave of sadness. Other days, a pocket of grief envelopes you because of a song, smell, or memory. You grieve as deeply as you love, and your grief demands to be felt!

Hey there! I know it can be wicked difficult to find a therapist to easily connect with and that is my primary goal. Currently working with ages 16+ who are struggling with a variety of life and mental health issues. I have 9 yr experience working with clients who struggle with psychosis, bipolar and personality disorders; substance abuse disorders as well. I offer a client led approach to counseling where we will figure this out together! I am known for my enthusiasm and "you got this" personality, as I firmly believe everyone has the ability to move towards the life that they want - we all just need help getting there sometimes!

Like you, I am human. I’ve had many sweet moments in my life. But I’ve also had some experiences that were pretty brutal. Plus, some stretches in-between when I was simply adrift, dealing with tough decisions, feeling alone, a bit lost, trying to manage the tectonic shifts of being mortal. I was always grateful for family and friends. But sometimes they weren’t enough. When I finally gathered the courage to see a therapist for the first time, it was a remarkable experience for me, completely different from talking with my buddies! I felt like the counselor understood me in a way I didn't even understand myself.

My practice focuses on integrating one's body and mind awareness. I work well with clients who are interested in building their resilience as opposed to examining pathologies. I believe you have the innate ability to heal in a safe and nurturing environment.

With specialized training in trauma and grief, I am here to walk alongside you. When we've experienced pain or loss, we worry that we will never feel like ourselves again. I encourage you that you can heal; those impacted by grief, loss or trauma can feel joy. Together we will discover deep healing. Band aids do not cover deep wounds, and treatment in grief/trauma can help. A caring relationship that fosters personal growth and integration- counseling works!
