I have over 20 years experience working with families. I personalize each client's treatment plan according to their spiritual, social, physical, intellectual, and relational needs. I believe that I can assist my client and their families in bringing balance back into their lives. I love my work the most when I can come along side my client at a time in their life when things are out of control and I get to assist them in making real life changes through a strong therapeutic relationship and give them tools to utilize from our initial session.

I have been in practice for over 35 years. I weave my Psychotherapy to suit the person that I am working with. My strong interest with Trauma Work comes from my belief that we all have been traumatized in different ways. Being in the womb, leaving the womb and the birthing process are the beginnings of trauma.

My 30 years of sobriety coupled with my education and experience affords me a unique perspective counseling addicts and families. I trained at the Hanley Center and worked as the primary therapist in the men's unit there for 15 years. I left Hanley for private practice and also serve as clinical director of several South Florida drug and alcohol programs. My client-centered practice uses a variety of techniques to develop coping mechanisms, life skills and coaching to help addicts recognize their vulnerabilities, which lead to compulsive and addictive behaviors and the ensuing shame, depression and anxiety.
