I believe that each person’s story is important, and each person has the power to re-write their story. In my practice as a therapist, I will provide a safe space for clients to tell their story. Together, we will develop coping skills, explore different intervention strategies and identify resources as you begin your journey to finding and living the best version of yourself. I have learnt that although therapy involves making oneself vulnerable, therapy is not an event but a process which takes time and commitment.
I am trained in evidence based practices for depression, anxiety, trauma, anger, and substance use disorders. Training include, motivational interviewing, trauma informed services, and gender responsive services. I work with men, women, couples and families, who is affected by addiction.
I strive each day to remain grounded in my spirituality which assist me in the development of a strong therapeutic relationship with all my clients. I seek to create an atmosphere of respect, empathy compassion and trust which I believe is the hallmark of building a strong alliance with the clients.
