Since our primary relationships are with our caregivers; I specialize in joining with adults who seek guidance with parenting. With my support and specific strategies to promote children's behavioral health and early development, families can self correct and stay on course while living more effectively, joyfully and meaningfully. I understand how easily we can get off track and our work in therapy will begin wherever you are right now, no matter what your childs' age.

Being a child or adolescent can be hard and comes with its own challenges. Raising a child and navigating all that comes along with it is no easy task either. Sometimes we run into difficult issues, high emotions and unforseen hurdles and need some guidance. My name is Jackie Rabinowitz and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Los Angeles, working with clients throughout California via telehealth. I work with people who are dealing with chronic illness and other medical and physical challenges, as well as people experiencing non-medical life transitions such as parenthood, divorce, career changes, and launching. Depending on the best fit for the client, some modalities I use are CBT, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness.

I have worked with a wide variety of people over the years ranging from children, to teens, to adults. I have done groups, individual, couples, and family work, and I enjoy all of it! My clients come to see me with issues that range from everyday life obstacles and stress to serious anxiety, depression, and trauma. I believe everyone's struggles are valid and everyone's efforts to change their life for the better should be honored and supported. I have had the privilege of helping many wonderful people over the course of my career and I consider myself lucky to work in a field that allows me to help, heal, and support.

Sometimes you just want to problem solve. Why didn't they tell us parenting was so hard! We understand that sometimes you need to just problem solve and learn coping tools. Maybe parent alignment is challenged by challenging kids. Whatever life experiences you are dealing with, I have over two decades of parenting experience, have navigated divorce and blended family life, betrayal trauma, and living with family members navigating life with addiction, ADHD, depression, and anxiety.

I felt called to become a marriage/family therapist when the decision to change careers didn't make sense. I ran a successful computer company, fresh off of a decade as an executive for a software company. I had a love for the study of people, and relationships, having received my bachelor's from the University of Utah in MassComm with a minor in Psychology. I was in a wonderful relationship, having a safe environment to share hopes, dreams, fears struggles... I realized that not everyone had this support in place to process highs, lows, and to learn to grow.

For the last 31 years, I have worked in social services, school, hospital and residential settings, directly helping with the struggles of children, adolescents, teens, young adults and families. I have seen what approaches are the most effective toward building trust and rapport quickly, so that we can get to work. Most folks already have a sense of why they are uncomfortable and just want mastery over their thoughts, feelings and actions. I help with identifying the core issues underlying self-defeating thoughts and behavior and teach new strategies to manage uncomfortable thoughts and memories.

Hello, I’m Jade. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. My passion began in 2010 when I received the opportunity to coach junior high girls, and high school boys volleyball. I found myself counseling athletes about balancing school, relationships, and the game of volleyball. This experience inspired me to learn about the psychological aspects of balancing life while experiencing emotions. I discontinued coaching and pursued my Bachelor’s degree in psychology at Argosy University and later I received a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Alliant International University.
