I think that all humans including patients desire to be seen, heard and valued. When I bring compassion, empathy, and healing into my therapy room, my patients are more motivated to do the work necessary to heal from whatever pain has brought them to therapy. This may include relationship issues, anger issues, depression, anxieties or panic attacks, PTSD symptoms, OCD, emotional dysregulation, grief and loss, etc. The patient’s goal is usually to just feel better or resolve the issue as quickly as possible. My job, as I see it, is to meet them where they are and provide them with the tools they need to begin their healing journey.

Are you struggling with anxiety, trauma, or feeling stuck in fight-or-flight mode? As therapist specializing in EMDR, I can help you break through negative patterns, find inner peace, and thrive in a safe, non-judgmental environment. EMDR is a powerful, research-backed therapy that can produce life changing results, allowing your nervous system to reprocess and resolve distressing experiences, often much faster than traditional talk therapy alone.

I believe that you have valid reasons to feel and act the way you do, even if those reasons are not yet obvious or known. I am particularly interested in the various relationships that impact your reality and the influence those relationships have on your daily experiences. These include, but are not limited to: the relationships you have with the other people in your life (your family, your boss, your friends, your partner, etc.); the relationship you may have to stress, anxiety, depression, oppression, and trauma; the relationship you have to food and your body; and most importantly, the relationship you have with yourself.

I also work with women individually on their challenges as it relates to self-discovery, relationships, work, and anxiety.
My work with individuals is rooted in mindfulness, attachment, and the occasional nudge. I support clients in connecting with themselves while helping them understand how their history impacts their current relationships and their sense of self. Together, I work with clients on creating a healing, safe, and non-judgmental environment where vulnerability, laughter, and silence are all welcome.

Our pain is often the beginning of our greatest awakenings. If you are struggling with low self-esteem, anxiety, stagnancy, or general unhappiness in your life and work, chances are, your symptoms have an important message to deliver. Perhaps your discomfort has shown up to point you toward unresolved grief or trauma. It may also be a sign that old ways of being are no longer working. In adulthood, and particularly in mid-life, the strategies we adopted as children to get love and protect ourselves can act like roadblocks to the deep connection we crave with ourselves and others.

It can be difficult to find a dedicated space in which you can safely process your experiences. I would consider it a privilege to try and build that trust with you. As a therapist, it is my responsibility to ground myself in curiosity and humility as I bear witness to your life's navigations. Whether that be pleasure, anxiety, identity, interpersonal dynamics, chronic stress, life transitions, personal or sociopolitical heartbreaks- we can explore your experience together. Through connection and collaboration, we can rewrite and expand the stories we tell ourselves and those told to us, allowing for more room to breathe.

If you’ve ever found yourself in a dark place, then you know that you instinctually look for the light. Things happen in our lives that throw us into dark places. It’s easy to get stuck in these places and we can have trouble finding a way out by ourselves. However, we all have the potential to restore and brighten our light again, sometimes we just need a helping hand. We will be that helping hand. Whether your darkness is anxiety, sadness, trauma, low self-esteem, body image issues, ADHD, or relationship dissatisfaction, we will climb into that dark place with you so that you’re not looking for that light alone.

I work with a wide range of concerns, some of which include depression, anxiety, grief, substance use, relational function, sexuality, and gender expression.
I am interested in learning what you would like to see happening differently in your life. I believe you have the potential to live your preferred experiences, and I feel passionate about uncovering new ways of relating to problems that at times gain control. Our collaboration will allow you to discover freedom from the problem story, and provide a safe foundation to build an existence that is in line with your own unique values and preferences. I am committed to joining you in challenging unhelpful beliefs placed upon you by societies' expectations, thereby creating your own distinct voice and direction.

I have experience working with depression, anxiety, LGBTQ identity, intergenerational/cultural trauma and intimacy development with oneself and others.
Do you want to develop your authentic emotional and creative voice? Are you facing inner forces you don't understand or know how to relate to? Do you feel stuck in patterns you can see but don't know how to change? What keeps you from being who you are--shame, past traumas, identity struggles? Is it time to look inside for what's been missing outside? I am passionate about the process of self-development and provide a safe, well informed therapeutic space where those issues, as well as others, can be addressed.

My clients report reduced suffering and relief from anxiety, resentment, injured self-esteem, depletion, parenting difficulties, and other struggles.
Sometimes our problems threaten to gain the upper hand, and we find it difficult to step into the life we want to live. I work with adults, couples, youth, and families in a deeply supportive and engaged environment to assist in a thorough exploration of the challenges they might be contending with. My work promotes the understanding that the person is not the problem, the problem is the problem. I believe that everyone is inherently resourceful, and am committed to working with people to help them alleviate the oppressive effects of problems, whether they are new challenges or ongoing issues.

I believe people are innately resilient and adaptive. When we struggle from disconnection, grief, or sudden changes, we may lose touch with our self-compassion and strengths, feeling trapped in a story that no longer serves us. This may manifest as depression, anxiety, reactivity, substance use, or unwanted relational patterns. You don’t need to go through this alone. You can feel supported, understood, and valued in the face of grief, hard feelings and questions. I will bring hope, compassion, options, insight, and curiosity, but ultimately our work together will be collaborative.

I have been a practicing LCSW in Los Angeles for close to 30 years. My expertise is in infertility and reproductive counseling and in the field of family building. My goal is to help individuals and couples cope with the challenges of infertility and explore alternative family building options including surrogacy, egg, sperm, or embryo donation, foster care, & adoption. The decision to start your family through alternative means can be one of the most challenging, as well as rewarding experiences in your life. With personal and professional experience, I provide support and compassion, calming the journey's inevitable stresses.
