I provide assessment services for children, teens, and adults to answer questions such as: 1) How does my child or how do I learn best? 2) Why is my child or why am I struggling in a particular area and what can help? and 3) What resources and accommodations may be helpful? Assessment reports provide a blueprint for a person's learning, social, processing, and emotional development. Assessments can look at one specific area or many areas depending on the testing questions.

Making the decision to begin therapy/counseling is a big step, and I truly understand and respect the bravery and vulnerability that it takes for clients to reach out to a prospective therapist. Over the past 23 years, I have successfully helped thousands of individual adults, adolescents, children, couples and families to heal from issues related to anxiety, depression, difficulty concentrating, family and couple relationships, divorce, infertility, parenting, adoption, addiction, self-esteem, bullying, life transitions, grief, trauma, and adverse childhood events.

My commitment to providing quality mental health services to individuals, couples, and families has greatly influenced my approach to therapy. I utilize an integrative influenced by Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), Dialectical Behavioral Theory (DBT), Attachment Theory, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Theory (TF-CBT). These areas of research help us to understand how stress and trauma impact our brains and lives in ways that may go unnoticed.

As a therapist, Isabel is proactive, transparent, and honest. Currently, she is working towards certification in sex therapy and has completed her certification as a sex addiction therapist. She utilizes an integrative approach tailored to individual client’s needs. Her reflective therapeutic style emphasizes the unique strengths of individuals and their ability to create change. In Isabel’s career, she has experience working in inpatient, forensic, school based, and community outpatient settings. Isabel’s work also includes the supervision and training of MA and doctorate level clinicians. She is a CAMFT certified supervisor.
