For a productive experience in therapy, I feel it’s very important for a client to find a therapist whose approach is right for them. My approach to therapy is client-centered. I listen without judgement and help guide you toward finding the answers that are already inside of you. My goal is to make you feel safe and comfortable while empowering you to make progress toward your goals.

Similarly to many of you, the pandemic created an opportunity for me to re-evaluate my choices and to step out of that comfort zone and move towards something new. Exploring new paths can be intimidating but it is also exciting. What I hope to provide for each of my clients as we work together: a place where it is safe to be both vulnerable and brave as you work towards healing and towards your own goals. My professional mission is to help each person determine their goals and needs, then build on their strengths to reach them. This is never a linear process but I can provide an open, safe, and judgment free environment.

My name is Jessica, and I'm hoping you will let me help you work through “every day” challenges to improve your relationships and daily functioning. I will work to provide an environment in which together you and I can work through your past and present struggles, coping mechanisms, and experiences in order to better understand your needs and ultimately yourself. This will help you to improve communication of your needs and thus your relationship(s) with others. I offer a secure place to be your authentic self where you can explore your history, self- and family values, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.

It is my belief that much of our pain and suffering comes from struggles within interpersonal relationships. Because of this, therapy can be an incredibly powerful tool to experience a different kind of relationship; one that is full of compassion instead of judgment, support instead of contempt, designed to empower instead of disenfranchise. I specialize in trauma, phase of life concerns, anxiety, and depression. It is important to me that we fit as a team, and I encourage conversations that improve safety and trust within our relationship.

When you call we try to make the best fit for you based on your needs and goals. We offer face to face and virtual sessions to best meet your needs. We now have 3 locations! Welcome to Strive Health Psychology. I am a Licensed Clinical Health Psychologist who specializes in the mind-body connection through talk therapy. We will explore the way stress affects the physical body and vice versa. Treatment can include traditional psychological concerns, pain management, and sport psychology. My mantra is “Faith, Fortitude, and Grace.” FAITH in the ability to overcome adversity, FORTITUDE to keep moving forward, and GRACE in the ongoing cultivation of strength in character. I believe that it takes conscious effort to self-improve and that the capacity for growth is infinite.

A wise philosopher once said that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Small changes, even increasing self-awareness, can collect and snowball into life-changing transformations. These changes and transformations currently may be hard to imagine or fully believe, and we can still choose to bravely take that step. Whatever length your journey, I offer support along the road and a safe space for exploration, expression, insight, and transformation.
