I am a Licensed Social Worker with a passion for decreasing the stigma surrounding mental health and promoting the health and well being of my clients. For my undergraduate degree, I moved from Central Jersey (Yes! It exists!) to South Jersey to attend Stockton University. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work with a Minor in Behavioral Neuroscience from Stockton, and then moved on to attend graduate school in Philadelphia. I received my Master of Social Work Degree with a clinical concentration from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy and Practice in May of 2020.

You can expect warmth, compasssion, enthusiasm, a sense of humor, and a strong faith combined with education and 31 years of experience. When I work with clients, I focus on their strengths. My counseling approach is based on family systems theory and includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

I strive to provide you a safe and comfortable place. I see adults and adolescents with anxiety, depression, grief, stress from work or family, trouble sleeping, trauma, and substance use, plus many other life challenges. I have 40 years experience with a PhD, LPC and LISAC. I look forward to meeting you.

I have been a clinical therapist for over 25 years working primarily with children, adolescents, families, and young adults. I have worked with some of the more difficult needs that children and adolescents have with a specialty in attachment, trauma and adoption. Additionally, I have experience in social/peer issues, school problems and anxiety.

I am a licensed psychotherpist in AZ and nationally certified. I am trained in various techniques that help with the resolution of trauma, abuse, neglect, addiction, and personality corrections. In addition, I can provide testing for behavioral, emotional, personality, and psychological concerns. As the clinical director, I coordinate and oversee our groups and IOP (intensive outpatient) programs. My team includes Spanish speaking services and the ability to work with those who have other concerns such as anxiey, bipolar, depression, ADHD, and emotional dysregulation as part of individual, group, IOP counseling.

Therapy is an intimate process; revealing feelings might feel scary and uncomfortable. My greatest reward as a counselor is helping my clients explore ways to make changes in their lives that will allow them to look forward to the future with hope. I provide my clients with a warm, nonjudgmental environment and safe place to explore the issues throughout the counseling journey. I use a variety of approaches for individual or group counseling to help my clients, depending on individual needs. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I’m certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors NBCC.

My clients look for someone who will tell them what is going on in their life and how to change and how it can benefit their life. I focus on the solution by delving into the problem, sometimes it may be difficult but that is why I am here to explain why it could be of the most benefit to you. For more than 17 years, I have dedicated myself to supporting teenagers, adults, and families in the field of social service and behavioral health. Throughout my career, I have also had the privilege of working as a special education teacher and vocational counselor, where I focused on assisting individuals with a wide range of physical and mental health disabilities and diagnoses. It has been a rewarding experience to contribute to the well-being and empowerment of those I have had the opportunity to serve. As a Master Level Intern, working under supervision, I continue to to provide quality care to those that I serve.

I work with children ages 5-18 and adults of all ages.

I am currently accepting new clients. I specialize in working with couples, teens, and adults. I believe that attachment and connection is the most powerful emotion in humans, which makes me passionate about working with all types of relationships. I specialize in assisting couples navigate challenges including: communication, conflict resolution, trust and infidelity, resentments & premarital therapy. I also have an understanding of the developmental challenges faced by teenagers. In my work with adults and teens, I specialize in addressing: trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, & life transitions.
