Although these expectations provide great skills, they also come with challenges like continuing to feel responsible for family’s wellbeing, struggles with balancing family’s expectations of you and your actual preferences, feeling like you don’t always belong in spaces, making sense of mixed emotions like gratitude for family sacrifices while also feeling upset with what you and/or family had to go through.
