My passion is working with teens and young adults. Clients have noted that my relaxed personality sprinkled with humor helps them feel at ease. I provide a nonjudgmental space where clients can be themselves, embracing their race/sexuality/identity/beliefs. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance, making sure clients feel accepted and understood. I emphasize empowering people to make their own changes at a pace they are comfortable with, while challenging them to utilize the skills they've learned in therapy outside of sessions - After all, I believe the ultimate goal of therapy is to get out of therapy!

Each of us has a story. Our past can influence or shape our lives, but it doesn't define or limit who we are. It doesn't have the power to tell us who we can become. My initial goal is to provide a non-judgmental and safe place for my clients to feel seen, heard and understood. I would like to believe that therapy provides the opportunity to discover and make use of the healing power of our stories to make us stronger. My goal is to help others achieve their potential. I work with ages 18-65. I especially enjoy working with our college population or professionals dealing with work related stress or burnout.

I have worked with children for over 20 years. I have experience working with children experiencing stress, transitions, divorce, low self esteem, grief, suicidal ideations as well as various other life circumstances. I utilize a variety of techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Bibliotherapy, and Stress Management. Beau is my licensed therapy dog who has been through professional training. He only attends sessions if approved by clients. I have worked in a variety of clinical settings and look forward to working with your child to help them find peace and happiness.

I enjoy working with people who are facing challenges with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and anger issues. I thrive in finding core issues and working on increasing each clients internal strengths to help them overcome their challenges. By utilizing different techniques and theories, I strive to help my client decrease the emotions or behaviors that are troubling them and learn ways to cope with them in healthy ways.

I work with clients facing health challenges such as depression, anxiety, eating and weight concerns, trauma, and relationship distress. I see the client as an integrated mind-body system and often work in supporting the client learn from the wisdom and experience of their body to help in their healing and growth process.

People seeking therapy may desire assistance in coping with changes to their everyday life, a desire for change in routine, or may have found themselves or their loved ones facing a recent medical diagnosis. These challenges may impact self-esteem, relationships, independence, work and/or educational goals. You may also have found yourself needing to step into a caregiver role. Therapy may be sought out to process changes and prioritize goals. Therapy is open to all people, no matter what you have going on in life. Developing and activating your ability to overcome difficult challenges, healing from painful life experiences and achieving your most valued personal goals is the focus of my practice. Lack of motivation, confusion and inertia regarding career and relationships are obstacles we can address in therapy. Treatment options include both brief-solution focused counseling and longer term in-depth therapy.

Accepting new clients this April! I see adults for outpatient psychotherapy, in the office and via teletherapy sessions. Blue Cross insurance plans only. Currently the self pay fee is $150 per hour long office or teletherapy session.

Dr. Wallace is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Supervisor. His clinical interest areas include trauma, sex therapy, sexual disorders, and clinical and forensic evaluation. Dr. Wallace has worked as a licensed clinician for over twenty years. He is also experienced with treating problems of anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, and other adjustment issues in children, adolescents and adults. His treatment approach includes an integration of analytic and cognitive therapies that focus on resolution of problems experienced by his clients.

I have maintained a private counseling practice for over 30 years. I work with individual, relationship and family issues. Cognitive behavioral strategies are utilized for skills training such as anger management, stress reduction, communication skills, and emotional regulation. Couples counseling and stepfamilies are areas of special interest. Theoretical perspectives in these areas include interpersonal relations concepts such as object relations theory and relational psychodynamics. Individual counseling focusing on depression, mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, substance use, and personality concerns tend to be approached from a psychodynamic psychotherapy perspective.
