Dr. Wallace is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Supervisor. His clinical interest areas include trauma, sex therapy, sexual disorders, and clinical and forensic evaluation. Dr. Wallace has worked as a licensed clinician for over twenty-three years. He is also experienced with treating problems of anxiety, depression, behavioral disorders, and other adjustment issues in children, adolescents and adults. His treatment approach includes an integration of analytic and cognitive therapies as well as Somatic Experiencing and structured psychotherapy such as EMDR.
Since 2013, Dr. Wallace has been trained in the evidence based trauma treatment EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a stuctured psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experience.
Dr. Wallace has completed the Somatic Experiencing (SE) Certificate Program and is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). The Somatic Experiencing method is a body-oriented approach to the healing of trauma and other stress disorders.
