Hi, my name is Ana and I provide online therapy at Aguirre Center for Inclusive Psychotherapy. It takes courage to ask for help and even more so to do the hard work of being vulnerable and honest with yourself to explore parts of yourself that you may avoiding. I’m passionate about helping individuals, particularly young adults, going through emotional difficulties and issues related to identity, anxiety, depression, parenting, chronic illness and other health-related concerns. Together, we can discover the best way for you to accept and cope with your emotions in a way that’s uniquely tailored to your experiences and strengths.
My psychotherapy practice is flexible but grounded in humanistic principles and cultural humility, utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) approaches. Importantly, my work is person-centered and collaborative – therapy is for the client and their goals guide the therapeutic experience.
I will work collaboratively with you to identify and unlearn skills that may have once been useful for your survival but are now limiting you and keeping you from who you want to be or how you want to show up in relationships. By exploring your needs, your wants and your values, you can learn to put yourself first and live a life that is authentically you.
