I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, and families on a variety of challenges. I especially enjoy working with kids using play-based interventions. Play therapy is an approach to counseling that allows children to use toys and other play materials to express their thoughts and feelings. I am a registered play therapist with many hours of specialized training in play therapy techniques. I have further training in parent-child interaction.
I have specialized training in trauma-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR can also assist in the treatment of many other issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, and self-esteem. I have additional training in utilizing EMDR effectively with children.
I strive to help my clients meet their identified goals and recognize their strengths. I am passionate about helping people resolve the effects of trauma, as trauma does not define a person. Please reach out with any questions or to set up an appointment!
