While I do work with people struggling with mental illness, I also work with those who would just like to gain perspective and increased effectiveness in their lives.

It's been a weird last couple of years, hasn't it? In addition to the chaos and uncertainty in our world, you may also be feeling chaos and uncertainty in your personal life. Many people are feeling uneasy and out of sorts; you may benefit from short term therapy in order to cope with all these changes. Anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, career issues, stress, grief and transitions are among the issues I address in therapy. I believe the biggest part of my job is to provide a safe space for you to share about yourself and what you’re experiencing. I provide psychotherapy without regard to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender identity while making you feel heard and understood. From there we can work on ways for you to improve your coping in whatever it is you’re going through.

I enjoy working with clients to help identify their strengths, overcome obstacles and build their self-esteem. I work with clients to normalize their feelings and increase their self-awareness. I am passionate about removing the stigma from therapy and mental health treatment. I try to promote mindfulness when dealing with strong emotions and work to offer clients a safe and nonjudgmental place to share their feelings.
