Would you like your teen or child to learn how to manage difficult feelings or change? Many youth are dealing with depression, stress, and anxiety. I specialize in teaching fun tools to manage negative thoughts/feelings in order to feel more empowered and confident in life! These self awareness skills help your child to enjoy more healthy relationships with family and their peers. Your child will learn how to apply a positive growth mindset perspective that they may use the rest of their lives. I enjoy collaborating with parents and also have vast experience working with adults (and their inner child) to reach their goals too!

I work with individuals of all ages, including couples and families, to foster emotional health and equilibrium. Together, we build a positive therapeutic relationship to explore patterns and find solutions. I bring a tailored approach to treatment that draws on elements of attachment theory, strength-based therapy, mindfulness, ACT, and CBT. I apply these approaches to support clients, including teens and young adults facing anxiety and depression, adults and couples navigating relationships, couples preparing for children, and parents seeking support in achieving work-family-personal balance.

As a licensed therapist, I have dedicated my career to helping people thrive. But the uneven nature of the process always struck me as limiting the human potential. Each of my clients has an incredible power to heal other people, but they’re not being empowered to use it when they see me for 1-1 therapy. I now specialize in an innovative and transformative small-group approach called Effective Listening. This unique method is taught in groups of 6 people, and each person gets to learn to use their awesome healing power and to be an instrumental part of each other person’s transformational journey.

If you're seeking a compassionate guide to heal from childhood trauma, you're in the right place! As a LatinX therapist with 14+ years of experience, I've seen the transformative power of healing deep wounds. Maybe you've done inner work, but still struggle to uncover the source of your pain, leaving you feeling self-critical, anxious, and uncertain. You're not alone! Generational trauma can leave a legacy of self-doubt and unworthiness. But by exploring your trauma story, identity, and culture, we can rewire negative patterns, rebuild self-trust, and unlock your true essence. Embracing your authentic self is a journey worth taking!

You are someone who seeks to do your best in the pursuit of all that is important to you. Even so, stressors, anxiety, depression, navigating challenging life transitions, or even burnout is no stranger to you. Perhaps wounds or traumas are (re)surfacing for processing. Today marks a step towards self care, oxygen mask on yourself first, then others. I will support you through the journey of your wellbeing. Allow me to hold your process and difficulties with compassion, support your balancing of life's chaos, reinstate healthy boundaries, embrace positive transformations, and reignite your aliveness.

Many challenges we experience in daily life relate to conflict between parts of ourselves. Each part reflects our body’s own loving attempts to care for us in the ways it knows. When we shift one part of the feedback loop, the whole system rearranges - in our bodies, & in our relationships. My approach to individual & couples therapy is holistic, somatic & client-centered. I start with creating a non-judgmental, inclusive space for you to come as you are. As we form & reach for your goals, our work may include movement, developmental psychology, trauma work, regulation practices, behavior/communication coaching, & creative guidance.

ADHD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
