I have been a counselor for 20 years. I strive to create a safe environment in which the client is able to explore and identify areas of their life that have been problematic. It is important to me to get to know my clients and meet them on a moment-to-moment basis and help by entering their world. My approach focuses on the person and assists in the growth process.

I received both my BS in Nutrition and my MA in Counseling from Bastyr University. My passion is in preventing and treating eating disorders. I have specializing in treating eating disorders for over 10 years. I spent two years working for a residential treatment center and then two years designing and running a partial hospitalization program for eating disorders in Seattle. I have worked with a wide variety of eating disorders as well as helping clients with disordered eating; i.e. chronic history of yo-yo dieting, weight management, emotional overeating, sugar addiction, dissatisfaction with body image, trauma, and more.

Dr. Cole provides fair and transparent psychological evaluations, neuropsychological assessments and parenting evaluations for use in a wide variety of settings; legal, educational, and governmental agencies.

As we travel our journey, there are times that we need extra help and support. Especially, to move through the rough and uncomfortable times. In therapy, I believe it is important to meet people at what stage they are in while making that journey. This allows us to build the right tool box to equip them for success. I have over 20 years of experience working with adults, teenagers, and adolescents. My experience has been around helping individuals with anxiety, depression, parenting, behavior management, trauma, and other life stressors.

My role is to facilitate and support that natural resource as we work together toward your goals. I specialize in working with adults and adolescents dealing with anxiety, depression, healing from trauma (past or present), navigating a difficult life transition, or those wanting to learn more about their own emotions and relationship patterns. I only see teenagers age 15 and up.

I have been working in the counseling field since 2002. I have experience working with adolescents, families, and adults in individual, group, and family therapy settings. I started working with adolescents at an inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Spokane. I then moved to Tri-Cities and began working at a community mental health center working with individuals with mental health needs. I received my bachelor's degree in Social Work and my Chemical Dependency License from Eastern Washington University in 2004 and my Master's degree in Social Work from Eastern in 2006.
