If you feel overwhelmed, I offer brief, practical, solution-based therapies to better cope. Many people are angry; with themselves, their partner or family. Anger can stem from trauma of infidelity, combat, sexual assault or feeling powerless to change. Getting past anger and healing can transform our lives forever. My goal is to help clients heal, live, laugh and love again by tailoring therapy to your unique needs and strengths.

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist offering evidence-based trauma therapies including Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy and Trauma Focused CBT. Many of my patients are active duty, veteran and federally employed (civilian). I learned to treat emotional trauma by working with PTSD field experts at the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs. These treatments are gold-standard PTSD interventions endorsed by the American Psychological Association and National Center for PTSD.

With over 19+ years of experience in Hawaii Behavioral/Mental Health, I provide psychotherapy and stress mgmt coaching as a Clinical Psychologist with a subspecialty in Marriage and Family Therapy. My professional goals are to help individuals, couples, or a family, find resolve, contentment, and meaningfulness. Through evidenced based practices, I intend to provide a non-judgmental, neutral, and safe, clinical psychotherapy environment/relationship. We may have to develop a new direction and purpose or simply clarify what is. I am a therapist with sensitivity, compassion, and an awareness of cultural diversity issues.

I am a Hawaii licensed clinical psychologist specializing in brief treatments for individuals who have anxiety and depression in the context of difficult life circumstances. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to improve coping and reduce emotional suffering. People coming to see me can expect a deep dive into their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In therapy, we will look at what your stressors are and how best you can cope and succeed given your individual circumstances. At the end of treatment, my goal is that each client has a set of skills that work for them when life throws a curveball.
