Before I was a therapist I was a client myself, struggling with addiction, PTSD and other issues as well. My journey of healing led me to becoming a therapist to help others heal. My clients find me to be compassionate, non-judgmental and informative. I tend to work intuitively, while using my training and experience as a guide. I am focused on helping my clients navigate their own healing journey as quickly and as painlessly as possible.

I can help because I have over 25 years of experience in psychology but more than twice that as a caring human being striving to find my own way. I've worked in psychiatric hospitals, in prisons and in private practice, with people with all kinds of psychological difficulties including depression, anxiety and Schizophrenia. Equally important than any experience I might bring to the therapy session, I bring compassion, empathy and an understanding that we're all just doing the best we can.

The therapeutic space I create is to help you learn about who you are as an individual and see your blind spots. Regardless if you're coming on your own or as a couple, the therapeutic work that we will be done is not just about solving problems. I'm a therapist because therapy saved my life. Through that lived experience, and with education and training, I help clients improve their relationship with themselves and others, navigating issues related to trauma, gender, sexuality, ENM, dating, boundaries, and self-worth. My clients are thoughtful people who have done the best they can on their own and are looking for additional support. They seek to expand their perspective, to feel differently in the world, and want lasting change. Together we'll create that change and I firmly believe in your inherent worth, power, and self-determination to facilitate the shift you seek.

My practice is primarily devoted to working with young women and trauma victims. However, I see others also. Therapy can help us express our feelings, learn new skills, and help us find effective solutions to issues we face. In a confidential environment, I strive to create an atmosphere that is safe, nurturing and supportive. My work with young women is focused on supporting them on their journey through adolescents into womanhood, which is a road well-traveled, but not always gracefully. I am well trained in helping young women experiencing difficulties in their school, family and/or social lives.
