I am particularly effective working with people who come to therapy with histories of childhood trauma, including emotional, sexual and/or physical abuse, and family neglect and/or abandonment. I have a strong commitment to helping men come to grips with the pains, conflicts and deficits in their work and relational lives. At the same time, I believe I can be particularly helpful to women, as a male therapist, in their work with these kinds of issues. I work primarily with individual adults. I have expertise working with a wide range of issues, including substance abuse/dependence, depression and anxiety.

For the past decade, I've had the privilege of working with clients as they've embarked on journeys of healing, growth, and transformation. I specialize in life transitions, work life balance, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and perfectionism. I take an individualized approach to therapy by prioritizing client goals, celebrating client's unique cultural traditions, and integrating relevant diversity and contextual factors into treatment.

Dr. Trager is a Licensed Psychologist w/ 25 years of experience with women/men/non-binary, teens & young adults with mental health issues across a broad spectrum of disorders: depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, PTSD, grief & loss, identity issues and ADHD across diverse populations. I work on an intensive transformational level to heal, to build resilience, and develop new more effective coping skills. Dr. Trager received her doctorate from USC, and has continued her intensive training, and practice in the Los Angeles area. I am very passionate & present so that clients can do the work to heal and thrive.
