Many individuals I work with are grappling with the repercussions of trauma, which encompass a spectrum of emotional reactions like anxiety, depression, fear, anger, guilt, shame, and numbness. These experiences can evoke feelings of worthlessness, helplessness, hopelessness, or despair, along with existential questions about life's meaning and purpose.

You said you would never stay with someone who cheated. You can’t believe he did this. It's like a nightmare. You are considering divorce but you want to believe him and deep down you want to get through this if it’s possible. You thought you knew him. Could it be possible he loves you like he says he does when he hurt you like this? Did he even consider you? It’s embarrassing to bring this up to anyone. You wonder if people will judge you if you stay and will they ever be able to see him in the same light if you tell people and are able to work it out? You have already talked for hours and don't know how you can get through this.

My goal is to walk alongside you to help you overcome past hurts and traumas and create a safe environment to be heard and be able to heal. I am on your team! I obtained my Masters in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University, and I am licensed in the state of Arizona. I have hundreds of hours of experience with children, adolescents, and adults. I also have training in EMDR therapy, I am a certified member of the American Counseling Association, and volunteered for years in high school and college ministry as a camp counselor and small group leader.

An important indicator of success in therapy is the therapeutic relationship and the key is the art of listening - to what you are saying, but also within the silence. I believe that you already have the answers you seek and in collaboration with me, you can begin your journey of healing and find the sense of peace you desire. I have extensive experience serving individuals who have been struggling with co-occurring disorders (substance use and mental illness symptoms occurring together). My expertise also includes mood disorders, disordered eating, pornography and sex addiction; and enjoy working with adolescents.

I help individuals and couples navigate and problem solve areas of difficulties in their significant relationships. The heart of my work is to help you identify negative, self-defeating beliefs and learn skills that will help you to respond as opposed to reacting to life's perplexing moments. Our work together provides the space and guidance to develop greater self-awareness, effective communication skills, compassion for yourself and close, connected, relationships.

The decision to seek therapy is usually at a difficult time in ones life. It isn't always easy, but can be life changing. As a therapist my main goal is establish a healthy therapeutic relationship with my clients. In my practice I work primarily with addictions (gambling/alcohol) and the effects on the individual and the family. I also work with individuals dealing depression, anxiety, women's issues, as well as those struggling in their relationship/marriage. I use cognitive behavioral therapy with my clients and I truly put forth the effort to individualize each therapeutic session to fit my clients needs.

I have extensive experience working with clients that have substance abuse problems, anxiety, cognitive disorders, and depression.I have also worked with dual-diagnosed clients. I am trained in a variety or treatment modalities. I often draw on a cognitive behavioral approach, dialectical behavior therapy and mindfulness.

My passion includes helping with issues related to LGBTQ+, marital and premarital, anxiety, addiction, trauma, grief, abuse and depression in all age groups. I also work with those suffering from eating disorders, dissociative disorders, impulse control, and personality, and thinking disorders. I enjoy helping clients learn coping skills, how to deal with school or work stress, and improving peer and intimate relationships.
