I am a psychotherapist in private practice in the Turtle Creek area of Dallas. Currently during the COVID crisis I am doing video therapy. I've been working with a broad client base in the mental health field since 1991. Therapy is a collaboration between the client and therapist, and is about facilitating the desired change for the client. I have a laid back approach in a safe non-judgmental therapeutic setting. My job is to ask the right questions to illicit insight and change. I'm also known to use humor in a therapeutic manner to help ease the process.

My hope for all clients is that we discover together the imbalance, be it emotional, spirtiutal, or psychological that continues to challenge our well-being. We then work in concert together to integrate balance as a daily, conscious practice.

Julie Elliott is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 30 years of experience. Specialties include depression, stress and anxiety management, addictions, marriage and family therapy, trauma and child abuse. She is also experienced in LGBTQ issues, grief and loss, codependency, communication problems, family of origin issues, hospice and end of life counseling, military and veterans' issues, post-traumatic stress, and women's issues. In addition, Julie has worked extensively with adolescents and their families in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
