As an adoption-competent therapist, I consider it an honor to walk with you as you deal with the unique complexities of adoption, foster care, infertility, and more. I currently see clients ages 12 and older via teletherapy who have been affected by adoption, foster care, infertility, maternal mental health, and/or attachment.

I'm dedicated to providing support for individuals and families who have been impacted by adoption, foster care, infertility, maternal mental health, and attachment-related challenges. At our practice, we cater to individuals of all ages, offering specialized therapy tailored to your unique needs.

I have experience and enjoy working with individuals, both adult and children, as well as couples and families on a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, identity, gender dysphoria, trauma, PTSD, life transitions, separation, conscious uncoupling, divorce and a wide range of relationship issues. I am LGBTQIA+ Ally and Affirming. I work best with people who are curious and want to understand relational dynamics with others and equally important, how they talk to and treat themselves.

I am often asked how I help my clients. First, I see you as more than a client. I could be in your shoes. I would want you to treat me like real person instead of just another client. I get to know you...the real you. I dedicate time to hear where you have been and how those experiences helped shape who you are today. Next, we identify the roadblocks that have kept you stuck. Lastly, we move into solutions. We work together to identify strategies and the most effective ways to implement them.

I am passionate about helping children who are in families going through the tough stuff. I believe children learn and heal best through play. I also enjoy working with adolescents, families, and individual adults. I believe we were created to live in connection with others. The nature of sharing our burdens and hardships with another human who is listening and showing empathy is healing in itself. It is my goal in therapy to create a safe space where you feel heard. We are not promised a life free of hardships but we can journey through it together.

I work with children, teens, and families. I also work with couples and individual adults. I use a family systems theoretical approach. I do play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and brief solution focused therapy. Outside of my private practice, I have been a school counselor, as well as, develop and lead social skills groups for kids.

I am passionate about helping clients with trauma, anxiety, & depression, & most enjoy working with clients aged 13-35. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, & compassion, regardless of background. Working with those who are from more marginalized populations & concerns related to these areas (2S-LGBTQIA+ populations, women's issues, religious trauma, racism, physical health concerns/ disabilities, teen/adult children of immigrant families, etc.) is a passion of mine, but I am happy to work with those who are not part of these populations as well. I will tailor our treatment plan to meet your specific needs.

I have worked with individuals and couples dealing with a range of issues from relationship problems to depression and anxiety. I offer a caring, non judgmental approach to helping people through life transitions and emotional pain. I have experience working with those with trauma and abuse history, eating disorders, self harm and suicidal thoughts. I believe in a holistic and strengths based approach to healing and use sessions to encourage personal growth and self-acceptance.

I understand that while we are all under construction, doing the work alone can be burdensome. I like to come along side my clients in the process of building a better tomorrow.

I am deeply committed to respecting the dignity of each individual and creating a safe emotional environment to heal obstacles and difficulties in a positively focused way. I am committed to being culturally sensitive and aware of each individual's uniques assets and differences and helping them strengthen that as a part of who they are.

Brittany Lovick is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Oklahoma who has been practicing since 2012. She has a B.A. in Human Development with an emphasis in counseling from California State University San Marcos and a Master of Social Work from San Diego State University. Brittany has worked in various settings, such as long-term care, hospice, along with inpatient and outpatient mental health care settings.
