I have significant experience working with trauma and enjoy working with teenagers, adults, and couple/family relationships.
As a clinical counselor, my desire is to join you in the midst of life's journey and together, learn to navigate your life in ways that promote deep wholeness. This is created in and through our client-counselor relationship - cultivating safety, curiosity, and being truly known. Exploring your innate capacity to heal, we can hold space for your deepest distresses and create new experiences that lead to growth and transformation. I believe in working with both your heart and mind in ways that are unique to you, allowing your truest self to emerge.

I provide EMDR to assist individuals struggling with trauma & psychological distress.
Psychotherapy is for individuals who are motivated to make positive changes in their lives. Some individuals seek out therapy to improve their lives and to help recognize and remove barriers to a healthy lifestyle, relationships, and productivity. While others find that troubling symptoms of anxiety, depression, failed relationships, chronic pain, and loss are too intense to manage on their own. I work with individuals presenting with a range of emotional and psychological needs in a safe and respectful atmosphere. I respect and encourage individuals' motivation to change and help them develop their own internal resources to make lasting positive changes.

I enjoy working with pre-teens, teens, and adults on issues such as self-esteem, trauma, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and non-suicidal self-injury.
Throughout our lives, we've learned various ways to feel better or ease our pain. Whether it's relying on harmful habits like self-harm or substance use, or escaping reality through distractions, we may find ourselves stuck in patterns that no longer serve us. If this sounds like you, I'm here to assist you in relearning healthier coping mechanisms. Whether your pain stems from childhood trauma, biological factors, developmental challenges, dual diagnoses, or relational issues, I want to help you navigate your present in a safe way without feeling overwhelmed by the past, and guide you towards a brighter future.

That’s why when you are ready to ask for help, I am here to provide a safe, trustworthy, and collaborative counseling relationship. I have successfully helped others with trauma/PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, people pleasing, grief, negative thoughts, and women's hormonal health. Whether I am seeing a child individually for play therapy; offering support to caregivers; utilizing attachment-focused interventions; collaborating on behavior modification; or seeing adults individually who are ready to heal from their own trauma; I continue to be inspired by the vulnerability and courage of those who are ready to change their lives!.
Love and nurturing are the cornerstones of my practice. From my youngest clients to my oldest, I believe that a positive connection in a safe and non-judgmental atmosphere encourages and empowers the children, families and adults I work with to heal and grow from the inside out! My focus for the past 13 years of my career has been on supporting children, families and individuals to reconnect with each other and themselves in a way that enhances their sense of peace, joy and fulfillment.

I’m an artist, a free-thinker, and a trauma survivor.
Don’t continue doing life closed off and disconnected. Open yourself up to connection and find the peace you’ve been needing. I want to help, but more importantly, I want to point you back to you. You don’t deserve to keep living in the dark. There is hope for all the parts of you.

Anxiety and trauma don't have to run your life.
We are living in overwhelming times. The worry, stress, and disconnection can take a real toll on our bodies and our minds if not handled effectively. For years I have worked with people experiencing a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma. The modalities I use are uniquely equipped to help soothe mind and body. After treatment, my clients describe feeling calmer, more connected to self and others, and less hindered by life's stressors. We could all use more of that these days!

Accepting NEW Clients - We all experience challenging seasons in life and need someone to help us make sense of our circumstances. We all go through transitions and loss. Sometimes unexpectedly, our life changes, or we've been struggling with something for too long in isolation, and you've been afraid to ask for help. I gently invite you, when you are ready, to contact me so I may help you heal. When we heal ourselves, we begin to attract other healthy people into our lives.

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
