I am an EMDR certified therapist, counselor, and former yoga teacher specializing in mindfulness-based interventions for healing anxiety, depression, and trauma. I began my counseling career with a background of nearly 20 years teaching yoga, meditation, and mindfulness to groups and individuals. I integrate the tools and techniques of yoga practice and theory with more traditional cognitive-behavioral therapy, EMDR, ACT, DBT, and IFS in order to treat people holistically - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
In my office you will experience a comfortable, safe, and nonjudgmental environment. We may use tools from DBT, EMDR, and other mindfulness and body-centered therapies to treat depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, and borderline personality disorder.
Sessions address symptoms stemming from past trauma, current areas of concern such as emotion regulation, career, and relationship issues, as well as values-based planning for the future. My intention is to help my clients resolve their past, live in the present, explore their potential, and inspire them to live happier, healthier lives filled with purpose.
